EHRIN addresses health care concerns by collaborating with stakeholders at primary care level.

This involves utilizing and collaborating with the established colleges of health technologies where the Community Health Officers (CHOs) and Community Health Extension Workers (CHEWs) are trained.

OBJECTIVES

Access to Quality Life-Saving Commodities for Women & Children

To increase access and affordability to highly effective low-cost maternal and child health innovations to women and families irrespective of their social circumstances. EHRIN delivers quality and timely modern contraceptive methods, anti-hypertensive drugs and anti-convulsion medication to women at primary care level.

Prevention of Pre-mature Death

To Prevent pre-mature deaths and disabilities from cardiovascular and metabolic diseases, including type II diabetes mellitus, and cancers of reproductive system. These are chronic non-communicable diseases that are responsible for two-thirds of deaths in Nigeria and increase the risk of premature deaths by 20% among Nigeria’s adult.

Conduct Global Health Research

To promote participation and collaboration in Global Health Research by tertiary educational health facilities in Nigeria though linkage with willing and capable mentoring research institutions.

Improve Medical Research Output

To increase knowledge generation and quality of medical and reproductive health research outputs from Nigeria through continuous capacity development for medical specialists in clinical epidemiology
